What is the aim of The Holocaust Project?

Raising awareness, bearing witness and learning from The Holocaust.

How will this be done?

The project will produce three original plays about events before, during and after The Holocaust. The first play will premiere at the Edinburgh Festival 2005. The plays will also run in the Surrey and Sussex area. Apart from the plays we plan to run a series of workshops within schools and colleges which will educate attendees on what happened in The Holocaust, the effect this has had on our world today and what we have or haven't learnt from these events.

How will the project be funded?

This is the project's biggest challenge at the moment. The project needs to be funded in a host of different ways. The key areas we will be investigating will be lottery/arts council funding, private and commercial sponsorship and a host of fundraising events.

How will the money be spent?

All money raised will go into the productions. As we move forward we hope to reduce the budget by being able to receive gifts which will help with the production.

What will happen with any money left over and the money collected as ticket receipts?

Any money left over will go to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Death Camp Victims Memorial Foundation. Nobody involved in the project will earn any money from being involved.
